History[]
Spirits were dead being who still roamed the mortal realm. Also known as spooks, spectres and ghosts these beings had the ability to fly, pass through solid objects and even posses another being. However, most spirits were not visible to the human eye a notable exception being Gentleman Ghost. Some people usually called fortune tellers claimed to be able to communicate with spirits but as seen in Dawn of the Deadman, many were frauds and used simple tricks to cheat people out of there money.
Other Spirits were not actually ghosts. Some were sent by God, such as the Spectre, or they were simply strangers who continued to walk the earth without purpose. Others still were bodies of dead beings the inhabited actual objects. Few spirits still wandered the earth as most were sent to heaven or hell after they died, two notable exceptions were Deadman and Gentleman Ghost.
