History[]
Founded in AD 43, London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom. Today, a metropolis surrounds relics of history and is considered the largest city in Europe with influence in almost every sector: business, finance, politics, education, entertainment, media, fashion and the arts.
The Victorian-era of London, in the 1800's, was infamous for brutal and often supernatural murders. While they were debunked and attributed to a new class of serial killers, every so often, a supernatural case was proved true. Such was the case when several people were found in catatonic states. The notorious highwayman, Gentleman Jim Craddock was stealing souls with Wagner's Horn in order to free a demon prince named Astaroth. Sherlock Holmes, Batman, and Jason Blood/Etrigan the Demon solved the case.
Gentleman Ghost was originally from London and in his afterlife sought revenge. He gathered several cursed artefacts and raised an undead army of 1000 executed convicts. His plans were stopped short by the combined might of Batman, Deadman, Green Arrow, and Speedy. Some time later, London was one of the capitals of the world invaded by Apokolips.
