King Arthur proved himself as the once and future king by pulling Excalibur from a stone. It was said that a bright soothing light glowed around Arthur and the sword that day. King Arthur's story spread rapidly and attracted many followers. As leader of Camelot, Arthur led many campaigns to prevent invasion of various tribes.
Arthur's half-sister, Morgaine Le Fay lusted for power and raised an army to take over. She cast everyone, including Arthur, into stone. After she was defeated by Batman and Green Arrow, King Arthur and the rest of Camelot were restored to normal.
