Hellgramite aka Roderick Rose was an entomologist who experimented on himself and turned into a grasshopper-like humanoid. As Hellgrammite, he set out to turn others into his personal slaves. Batman defeated him and the villain was imprisoned at Arkham Asylum. Hellgrammite resurfaced at a construction site in Gotham City and fought Batman once again. It was then that Hellgrammite decided to turn Batman into his slave and bound the hero in his adhesive secretion. The Creeper suddenly appeared on the scene and distracted the villain long enough for Batman to free himself, and the two defeated Hellgrammite.
Powers and Abilities[]
Hellgramite possesses physical capabilities that make him much stronger than an average human, such as an armored exoskeleton and sharp claws. His main power is to spit up a concentrated blast of sticky green slime that can entomb his targets in a tight cocoon. By doing this, he can eventually transform him bound prey into insect slaves that carry out his bidding.
