Atlantis is said to be an island nation dating back 10,000 years ago. It was once a feared naval power that set out to conquer the coast of Europe. However, under mysterious circumstances, Atlantis disappeared. In reality it sunk to the ocean depths and its people were forced to adapt living under the sea. Isolated from society, the nation grew and prospered in a perpetual golden age ruled by royalty.
Today, Atlantis is ruled by Aquaman and is under attack from sea monsters and super villains. Black Manta once tried to destroy Atlantis by applying a series of destabilizers to the Continental Shelf. Batman, Aquaman, and Ocean Master intervened and saved Atlantis.
